I know that there is a popular saying that tells us that it’s better to get rid of things in the past and embrace the new. Although in many situations that may be true, I am beginning to think that perhaps a blend of goodies from the past with the bright and shiny of the new might yield better more progressive results. The community in which I now work has strong roots and is full of wonderful traditions. I wonder if blending some of those traditional ways of learning with modern teaching through inquiry and critical thinking would further enhance the successes of the school? What are your thoughts?
So I am very excited to say that my first week of being VP is safely and securely under my belt. Although more exhausted than I would have ever imagined I am loving my new position. To reflect some of my observations here is my “Old is New” outfit. A new way of styling an old skirt… why not wear it layered on grid pants and a Pink Tartan tuxedo front dress shirt.
Xoxo
