Those that know me, know that when given a choice between more or less, I always go for the “more is more” mantra. Well, I must say this is the case when it comes to prints and florals. Went shopping a little while ago with the hubby and of course ducked into (one of) my “motherships” J. Crew for some style inspiration. Saw this scuba material floral trumpet skirt and instantly fell in love… the floral print was so vibrant and fresh. How to style it? Well, a simple grey sweatshirt would work. A tucked-in white dress shirt would be quite chic, and even a navy tee would be cool and casual. But of course I was looking for more. So I also got the silk tank in the same floral pattern with the intention of wearing them separately.

What’s the deal with separates? They just look so good together! My advice is – if you can get a matching set in the same print (top and bottom) you should always do it. On those regular days, style it with something simple and fresh, and on those brave days wear them together!
Last weekend was 26 degrees, super sunny. Loving it! It was a brave double floral print kinda day.
