Sex and the City

On June 6, 1998 the very first episode of Sex and the City aired on HBO, and like most young girls I instantly fell in love with everything Carrie. Her lifestyle, her one room apartment, her writing gig, her perspective on relationships and most significantly her unique fashion sense. Ranging from gutsy and bizarre to gorgeously elegant. Fashion is not just about what’s the newest trend but it also about beauty, wit and humor. I love the unexpected. Wearing pieces that you would never think to throw together keeps things fresh and new. My long and faithful love affair with the tutu was inspired by Carrie’s nude tank and tulle outfit in the opening credits of Sex and the City. It’s been 16 years and Countless tutu’s later I still have a soft spot for the silhouette.

Thanks for reading,

xoxo
